Miles too young to have seen him play but I've always thought of players like Vic being the shoulders that Hurst, Peters and Moore stood on to become the giants they were.
Rest in peace mate x

I am sure on an old West Ham album the last song is Vic Keeble singing bubbles. RIP.

From what I hear,he got a lot of invites from Newcastle and their fans over the years. For some reason I don't think he got the same treatment from our owners even though he lived in Colchester most of his life. Strange that,or maybe not.
RIP to a Hammer instrumental in getting us promotion to the top division pre-Greenwood days.

The last player left of Newcastle's FA Cup win in 1955. Had a street named after him up there.
I'd like to see how many of today's millionaire footballer tossers are remembered like this.
RIP

A true club legend. Him and John Dick were sensational. Very sad but a decent innings.
Going back 60 years now since I saw him play. Ted probably did as well but suspect not many on here actually remember him playing.
RIP - deserves the greatest respect from the club and its supporters for his feats back in the day.
